MERLIN Calibration sources These sources are the most nearly point-like strong sources available on MERLIN baselines. There is no guarantee of accuracy of any individual measurement; you should look at the trend at the time of interest for a source. At the frequencies listed here the flux densities are found by comparison with 3C286 (using the shortest MERLIN baselines). NOTE: You can improve the flux scale accuracy in AIPS if you have data for a primary flux calibrator (e.g. 3C286) and a point calibrator such as one of the sources below.
