1.5.5 Fringe-frequency - delay source search observations
The approximate positions and strengths of sources within the
primary beam of an antenna can be quickly determined by recording
data for two five-minute periods at two widely spaced hour angles
using only one long and one short baseline. The data can be analysed
off-line to produce fringe-frequency versus delay plots, which
separate out the individual sources within the antenna beam. See
§3.10.4 for further information.
